‘African News and Current Affairs’ is partnering with ‘Focus on Africa Magazine’ to deliver a lunchtime seminar on 15th September 2010 as part of the coverage for 50 years of Nigeria’s independence.

The “Nigeria at 50” seminar will run from 12pm until 1.30pm at Bush House in Aldwych, London.

The aim is to discuss the various aspects of Nigeria’s history – political, military rule, economic progress and foreign affairs in the 50 years since independence as well as future prospects.

The seminar will be chaired by the Head of the BBC African News and Current Affairs Department, Joseph Warungu. Other participants include the Nigeria High Commissioner, HE Dr. Dalhatu Sarki Tafida and Author Ogo Ogbata.

There will be room at the end for a short question and answer session.

The seminar is at the BBC World Service, Bush House, Strand, London WC2B 4PH.
