‘Inspiring Women in Business!’

Inspiring Women in Business Event - London Nov 12th 2010This event was inspired by the courage and creativity of the woman who takes centre stage in my debut novel, ‘Egg-Larva-Pupa-Woman’.

All over the world, many women have had their vision of greatness killed by poverty, ignorance, low self-esteem and the lack of a support network.

However, it is not all doom and gloom for womanhood. For instance, statistics show that women are now starting businesses twice as much as their male counterparts and the phenomenal success rate of women entrepreneurs shows that women are resourceful and able to succeed, despite the odds.

This event has tested my resolve the most so far. If you’re a business person who would like to engage better with a female demographic, an aspiring woman in business, a supporter of women in business or indeed a woman in business, then be on the lookout for future events some of which will be shaped by this one.

‘Empowered To Connect!’

‘Empowered To Connect!’ was my first formal event and one of the most well attended and received despite working to a shoestring budget! It is designed to give people the education and confidence they need in order to connect with others and achieve their professional goals. ETC has been attended by top career, government, media and business professionals. Do business learning and networking have to be boring? We think not!

Previous speakers at this event include Mike Skidmore (whose clients include The United Nations, British Council, Chartered Institue of Marketing and Cranfield University Business School).

Interesting highlights also include a showcase of quality and affordable business wear by Marks and Spencer.
