I like to remind myself of the following on a regular basis:
- Whatever it is that you need to do, do now.
- Whoever it is that you need to be, become…
- Whatever needs to be changed, change quickly.
I’m learning not to:
- Blame anybody,
- Wait unnecessarily,
- Hold back the truth,
- Stiffle who I am,
Becoming = Decision and Motion.
If I wait for inspiration, it may never come. I must find it within. There are no more rescuers on the way. I am fully formed, fully equipped. I must find the answers within.
Like Muhammed Ali once said, “Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

Very inspirational!
Wise words by Muhammed Ali. He’s truly a fighter in the ring and in life, a role model for us. Impossible is too big and at the same time too small for us. Thanks for sharing this.
Those things we are learning not to do are hard to hold within us, but as we grow, I think we become more aware that some things do not need to be said or done. That’s evolution.
@ Diana: Thanks for stopping by. Simple yet so profound – ‘Impossible is nothing…’
@ Miami: Well said, indeed! Another Ali moment.
Those three things you like to remind yourself of are great mottos indeed. I’ll keep them in mind.
Thanks, Steve.
Hi, I’ve been reading all of your posts and I saw this one was open to comments. I have one question. You say all of these things are necessary to be done and I agree. Do your books develop the actions we need to take? Also, you have mentioned Nigeria, does this have anything to do with Yoruba mythology? I am an active learner of Yoruba mythology, so it would be great to purchase your book and read more. Thank you. Lily.
Every person has free will to make the impossible possible. This is a unique gift from God that every human being has so better to use it wisely in order to surpass the challenges of life.
I have many people in my class who constantly say, “This is stupid”, “I’m not going to do that”, “Whatever, that’s dumb”, etc. They tend to suck the life out of the room. I’m sure I do that every once in a while, but I do try to put a positive spin on things because I see what a bad attitude brings.
I think I can automatically go to those bad thoughts, but I am trying more these days to look on the bright side of things.
Thanks for all the thoughtful comments!
