Today marks the UN’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the start of 16 Days of Activism.

Organisations like Refuge, Women’s Aid and ‘Take Back the Tech’ are all doing their bit and I don’t want to be left out.

Egg-Larva-Pupa-Woman - A story of love, courage and honour...

As I have recently published a novel about the horrors of domestic violence against women and children (which is common both in the developed and developing world), I thought it would be fitting to offer an autographed copy of Egg-Larva-Pupa-Woman in honour of the great cause.

To enter this exciting book giveaway (which ends on 10th December – following 16 days of activism!), simply complete the sentence below as positively and concisely as possible:

‘Domestic Violence against Women must stop because…’

Don’t hold back! Tell us why domestic violence against our mothers, wives, sisters, daughters and friends must stop… right now!

Because… what goes around comes around.
Because… it isn’t fair!
Because… it doesn’t make sense.

Domestic Violence against Women must stop because… it’s so wrong. Abusers should be prosecuted… Victims should be given justice.

Domestic Violence against Women must stop because… women are also human and should be treated equally.

Domestic violence against women must stop because the fairer sex have the right to live and a right to make a living. Women are much more important because they are the manufacturers of the human race (with the help of men, of course). Womankind is the hope of our future.

It must stop because it’s evil. Because too many see those kinds of relationships as their only options. Because everyone has a right to feel safe.

I interned for Girls Inc, so I feel very strongly about ending Violence against women. At the very least, we need to teach young girls how to avoid bad relationships and that it is ok to get help.
